In this column I pose questions and raise issues. I don't always agree with the conclusion, implied or stated. The purpose is to put a slightly different spin on each item and to promote discussion.

  • The latest remake of Lolita was not screened in American theaters because it's a story about female power, and nothing is less tolerated in pop feminist dominated American culture today than anything demonstrating the power female sexuality has over men.

  • The children of today are the backlash generation of tomorrow.

  • Gay men stereotypically behave in ways pop feminists and hard-core lesbians hate.

  • Pop feminists will abandon their alliance with the gay community the instant it no longer serves their purpose. They will be at least as intolerant of gays as they are of most other men.

  • The national Income Tax in America subsidizes low tariffs, exportation of manufacturing jobs, and global free trade.

  • Typically, pop feminists stop supporting liberal male politicians they despise only when those politicians are no longer useful to the pop feminist cause. This is both a very pragmatic and unprincipled policy. If pop feminists were honest, they would immediately rescind their support.

  • Liberals staunchly support both multiculturalism and universal human rights, yet condemn such traditions as the practice in Moslem countries of expecting or forcing women to wear the hijab. You can't have both multiculturalism and universal human rights.

  • Generally, conservative values are the greatest protection women have against domestic violence.

  • Sexual liberation is conducive to a society that is viciously competitive.

  • Technological improvements should produce not simply an incrementally improving standard of living, but a pennies on the dollar reduction in the price of goods. Where has the difference gone? The real rate of inflation is the official rate plus productivity gains.

  • Surveys indicate women want unconditional love. Women's magazine articles and men's experiences also indicate women are prepared to impose all kinds of conditions on men to get unconditional love.

  • When a man drops out of a military academy, it's for personal reasons or because he couldn't make the grade. When a woman drops out, it's because she was "harassed and hazed" out.

  • A pop feminist will take an instance of job and/or wage discrimination to condemn all men. A man responds with examples of how he has suffered the kinds of experiences they call job and/or wage discrimination, and commonly, pop feminists will respond with a retort such as, "Now you know how it feels!" If this is how they respond to men's experiences, why should we do otherwise?

  • How can a community such as Fairfield in California be all black? "Native Americans go home, Asian Americans stay away, Chicanos unwelcome"? Isn't that bigotry?

  • Most men experience women as an expense. According to pop feminist author Shere Hite, most women encourage and indulge this. An expense is something you incur either in the acquisition or maintenance of things you own, or on someone you hire. Hence, any woman who allows herself to be an expense in the context of such relationships violates some of the most fundamental principles of women's liberation.

  • Woolworth's has a "the customer is always right" policy, which is why I don't shop there. I would rather have someone tell me the truth than what they think I want to hear.

  • American women still earn on average 76 cents for every dollar men earn. The only ways to achieve absolute parity are to force men to work less and women more, or in some other way economically handicap men, as for example by paying men a lower differential than women for overtime, or by imposing a higher income tax rate on men.

  • Pundits assure us exporting manufacturing jobs is no threat to national security, but encourages international peace and prosperity through a growing web of economic interdependence. When push comes to shove, however, a country can go quickly from little high tech and much manufacturing to a lot of both, leaving the one with little of the latter and much of the former a beggar.

  • If most women, by their nature, prefer aggressive men, how will men ever be otherwise?

  • Mainland China is beginning to experience a shortage of women, a condition magnified by mandatory abortions and the Asian preference for sons. With a surplus of men, China will be vulnerable to the importation of pop feminism. Is this why pop feminists are generally only moderately critical of China's pro abortion/anti choice policy?

  • Global free trade policies do result in an extremely high standard of living for a relative few today and may result in a relatively high standard of living for almost everybody in a few hundred years, but for the sake of an uncertain benefit many generations hence should most Americans, who are less well off as a result of these policies, support them, or is a certain degree of economic nationalism in exchange for a better standard of living for ourselves and our loved ones acceptable?

  • During the past few decades pundits have assured us in the Information Age it is right, good and cutting edge for America to export manufacturing jobs and replace them with service and high tech jobs. But how many people can do high tech jobs, and how many can make a living wage on service jobs?

  • Just say no to women who have had abortions. A non legislative way for pro life men to send a pro life message to women is to refuse to date, mate or marry women who have had an abortion. Don't date a baby killer.

  • The owners of The Seattle Times are white. Is this evidence of white racism?

  • While Fathers' Rights organizations disdain any men's issue that is not directly related to divorce, custody, child support or some other "family" issue, you can bet women's organizations are busy recruiting any and all women they can with every women's issue they can. As long as men continue to self segregate their organizations, women's organizations will prevail.

  • At a feminist literary conference actor Marisa Tormei said to love the vagina is to love hair. Presumably she said this in response to the practice of shaving or trimming pubic hair. Pubic hair is natural, after all. May we assume Ms. Tormei would also agree that to love the male face is to love hair, since male facial hair is also natural?

  • There is a very strong bias in our culture toward downplaying the hurdles and hindrances experienced by males and the rewards and benefits experienced by females.
