We're back!

Why Full-Time Dads? Because parenting is not a hobby. Anyone who spends 30 or more hours a week on the job is considered a full-time employee, and one does nto have to spend 24 hours a day to be considered full-time. The same applies to fathers.

Our definition of a full-itme dad is any father who takes his children's care as a top priority in his life. The "average" American father spends about 173 minutes (less than 3 hours) a week interacting with his children, the experts says...that, my friends, is not full time. All it really takes is love to be a dad, add time and devotion, and you have a full time dad.

For individuals with internet connections you can visit Full-Time Dads online.

Our host is slowlane.com which is the domain owned and operated by Chris Stafford, founder of Full-Time Dads. He hosts not only Full-Time Dads but also the Fathers' Resource Center in Minneapolis. Chris was the editor of the Fathers' Resource Center's newsletter Father Times for nearly four years and earned Father Times the distinction of receiving the Clarion Award for its quality and presentation.

Together, these two sites provide the most extensive collection of reading material for, by and about fathers. They also maintain links to nearly all of the other web sites which are either aimed specifically at fathers or maintain fathering information.

The Full-Time Dads site contains an electronic version of each issue as well as an archive of selected articles from past issues.

Father absence is a major cause of childhood poverty and other at-risk factors. NFI provides data on the significance of fathers who remain connected to their families. This information is critical to policy makers on the federal and state levels to assure that laws promote families and responsible father behavior.

Further, fathers who are separated from their families can access information on how to stay conencted to their families in spite of divorce. Individuals wiht all sorts of interest in the topic will obtain information on just how critical fathers are to their family and to the well-being of their children.

You can download files on father facts, policy briefings, press releases and fatherhood related articles at http://www.register.com/father/.
