Post secondary child support law ruled unconstitutional

by Bob Karls

Monthly Seattle meetings on the 2nd Tuesday each month, 7-9 pm at the Shoreline Center, 18560 1st Ave. NE, Shoreline.

DADS National Headquarters reports that Oregon's post secondary child support law has been ruled unconstitutional by a Multnomah County (Portland, OR) judge. There are now less than 10 states that have laws which allow for post secondary support, Washington State is one of them. Most of the states either prohibit it by law or case law, or restrict it. Anyone wanting more info can call me at (206) 623-DADS.

Alienation of Affections

Alienation of Affections is an ancient, common law tort that has been around for hundreds of years.

In Washington state it was done away with between husbands and wives by the judges in "Wyman v. Wallace". Even in that case, the judges (illegally acting as legislators) specifically excepted out cases involving the alienation of children.
