Holiday Greetings from the HOTLINE

by Lou DeCuir, proud father of Sarah, age 8, and Emily, age 4

The holiday season can be a time of peace, hope, warmth and joy, but can also be quite stressful for some. It is often a time of togetherness for families, but many fathers are apart from their children during the holidays due to separation or divorce.

These fathers may be experiencing emotional, financial, and/or legal difficulties due to their circumstances, and need a supportive network to provide understanding, assistance, and referrals to professional resources in their communities.

The Men/Fathers HOTLINE is actively assisting many men, fathers, and extended family members, particularly during this time of year when many need help with acute holiday season problems.

We approach this holiday season with renewed hope for strong, happy families, and for actively involved, dedicated fathers who serve as positive role models for their children. We continue to hope that the holiday season brings peace and comfort to parents who are separated from their families, and abundant joy to their children, for whom the holidays should be an especially memorable time.

We wish that you and your friends and loved ones share in the peace, hope, and abundance that the holiday season can bring.

On behalf of fathers and their children, the Men/FathersHOTLINE would like to wish you and your family a happy and joyous holiday season.
