They will handcuff me to my wheelchair
On February 9, 2001, the courtroom Deputy is going to handcuff my right wrist to my wheelchair - wheel me directly from the courtroom - and straight to jail. I am weak. I never thought of myself as a weakling, but now it's obvious. I have no power... I have been in a battle that no man ever wins. My life has been devastated and I never had a chance of winning. My life has been destroyed by the completely corrupt Family Court lawyers and Judges... and by the Child Support Gestapo.
Eight years ago this July, my X wife came to me and told me she was leaving to find a new rich man to take care of her. She said, "When I met you, I thought you had a lot of money!" (I did until she spent it.) "Everyone else I know has money! Mama has money, Jackie has money, Susie (sister) has money but I live like a fucking peasant!" She continued to tell me that her mother and she had been planning on divorcing me for three years. She promised she would get everything I ever owned and she would get our son. Of course, I didn't believe her. My logical mind said, "Not in America! Not in the land of justice and freedom!
"How can you get everything I ever owned - and our son?" I asked.
"Bob has power!" she replied. Bob is her mother's attorney, an evil shyster if ever there was one, who does all the dirty work for their corporation. I didn't believe it then - but I should have. During the next three years, I hired 7 of the best divorce attorneys in Los Angeles and spent tens of thousands of dollars, all I could borrow. Each attorney promised me he would get my son back, but when the money ran our, their excuse was, "We tried our best." They had no conscience. I'm still getting bills from some of these shysters.
A common story
My story is so common today, you are probably yawning and nodding off. This is a story that is repeated millions of times every year. Fortunately, most men are not involved with evil and extremely wealthy in-laws. Money buys lawyers and judges, and he who has the most money in court wins: With enough money and connections, people get by with murder and other crimes.
On June 8, 1998, the Federal Bankruptcy Court approved of my bankruptcy. It was an embarrassment to become bankrupt since I had always been successful. It's probable that very few people include plans for a future bankruptcy in their lives. It's a major disappointment and extremely humbling to realize that a lifetime of work and planning ends up as nothing.
In response, on October 22, 1998, now-retired Judge Ronald Schoenberg, told me to sell my home to pay child support. I showed him proof from realtors that even if the house were sold, there would be no equity left since there were so many mortgages and liens on it. I begged him to not sell the home because I would have no place to live - I would be homeless with only my little dog Gretzky and my old rickety wheelchair.
"I told you to sell the house...you are going to jail!" the judge said. The deputy handcuffed my right wrist to my wheelchair and wheeled me straight out of the courtroom to jail. What a surprise! I've had major spinal arthritis for several years yet, despite my disability they made a criminal out of me just like that!
Child Support Gestapo spends thousands to collect $12 a day
During my stay in jail, the judge received more than 200 letters and a video of my son and me from activists all around the world. At my first hearing after release from the tank, It was amazing to see the stack of mail on the judge's bench. The judge was also amazed since he had never had mail sent to him at court...but also many of the activists had sent mail to his home. A couple days after my last hearing, Schoenberg retired.
It has been more than two years since my painful stay in Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles, but I have been in court at least a dozen times. The Child Support Gestapo have not given up at getting 12 dollars a day from me for my multi-millionaire X-wife and her mother. Twelve bucks a day. Imagine how many thousands of dollars this system has spent trying to get 12 bucks a day from me! My stay in jail cost them at least $10,000. That would have paid three years of blackmail. Each trip to court must cost the system a few thousand dollars.
Why don't they just pay the gold-digger $12 a day and save the taxpayers thousands of dollars? Because if they did that, it would put a lot of bureaucrats out of work.
Judge Ladner ordered me to get an MRI to prove I was disabled, which I did in January. The official findings, which verified that I am permanently disabled: "Severe Degenerative Joint Disease - possible spinal stenosis." Despite this, the DA and the judge argued that I could find some kind of work to pay child support.
Disabled, go to jail
The DA ordered me to apply for disability to see if Social Security would pay me, and also pay the child support. And the judge told me that if I did not apply for SSI, I will go to jail. But since I was always self-employed as successful singer and vocal coach, I opted not to pay into Social Security and had invested, instead. So, Social Security told me I had not paid enough in to be eligible.
The DA and the judge insist that I apply for SSI so the government will pay the child support. Supplemental Security Income is a government program that gives money to illegal aliens, etc. Our government has programs to support almost everyone, but I must decline.
Can you imagine the American taxpayers paying child support to a woman who is worth millions of dollars? Who just got a new $40,000 Lexus and a $15,000. facelift? Can you imagine the insanity of this court system insisting I pay child support for a son who has been kidnapped from me, that I have not even seen nor heard from for nearly 5 years? Yet that is precisely what Judge Ladner of the LA Family Court has ordered me to do.
Judge Ladner said if I come to court on February 9, 2001, and have not applied for SSI, I am going directly to jail. For refusing to comply with a court order to get welfare for my wealthy ex-wife, I will go to jail!
They may send me to jail for the rest of my life. I don't know. Jail is not a pleasant place to be. The beds are hard and, even though it's necessary for spinal patients to sleep with several pillows, we are allowed no pillows. In the tank, I will be surrounded by murderers and rapists. The cops are harsh and insensitive. It's a frightening prospect, but it's something I believe is absolutely necessary. Maybe when I get out, things will be different. Or maybe I will die there.
But I will never, ever give up.
