Fight for fairness
National Alliance for the Advancement of Non-custodial
Parents has been offered a meeting with senior Justice officials and perhaps Allan
Rock, Minister of Justice for some time in September, in Ottawa. While we have
been working on a number of points for presentation, we would like your ideas
about what we should present. Please be practical. We have 45 minutes.
They will not be motivated by fairness or emotional arguments. We can't deal with
personal cases, except perhaps as examples of policy problems. We must make
effective political, practical and legal arguments. We want them to know we are
rational, effective and know what we are talking about. We want them to
understand that this issue will not go away and will come to haunt them in the next
election. Think and send us your points by e-mail, fax or letter.
