If one parent is allowed to be supported for 18 years through the provision of child support, what happens when the child support ends? The supported parent has no skills, no self-esteem, no retirement benefits, and will likely end up on welfare. Just because a man like President Clinton is highly popular with women does not indicate he is virtuous; if anything, it suggests that he likely isn't. The "patriarchal hegemony" is a unique supposed ruling class, the first one in history whose members continue to die many years younger than those they allegedly subjugate.
