Blessed art thou amongst the species; and blessed is the fruit of they womb - Part 1

by James Novak

The central concept of the feminist movement and women's liberation is that women have the exclusive right to their own bodies and absolute reproductive freedom; only under this condition, it is believed, can women have political equality in society. The actions taken to accomplish this goal demonstrate women's equality in society. The actions taken to accomplish this goal demonstrate women's narcissism and displace any meaningful role for the father, dissolves "blessed is the fruit of they womb," and creates a generation of children who have become the garbage of society.

"Blessed art thou amongst the species" is a traditional privilege tracing itself to primitive humanity. During the time that man was but one step above survival, women needed to be protected since their offspring were needed just for the human race to survive from generation to generation. This procreative function along with lesser upper body strength exempted women from the dangers of the hunting function and war. The survival of a society and of the species was by a hair throughout most of human history and thus both men and women functioned together to accomplish the goal of the biological destiny of our species. This destiny to survive was hardwired (genetic) and thus was driven from deep within the core of human existence.

One of the first obstacles of the contemporary women's movement was to debunk the notion that biology was an essential determinant of men and women's role functions in society; and posit that human sexual roles are the almost exclusive result of environmental factors. An attack was made on all forms of scientific knowledge and in all pertinent disciplines from biology to theology, from literature to law, to destroy any notion that sexual behaviors could and should have any influence from genetic sources. This manifests itself by saying that the only difference between men and women is their genitals; then all behavior can be explained in view of behavioral and environmental influences. This was always strained, but thorough political pressure, those who objected were essentially silenced.

Having accomplished this, women could proclaim that their bodies were their own, and that this ownership was a natural goddess-given right, highly believable in an individualistic, rights-oriented society as we have in the U.S. Once gained, an absolute right to her own body, women could assert the following with moral certitude: 1. No law can be made infringing on her goddess-given right; 2. Fathers had no rights over her offspring other than to pay for their and her 10 minutes of pleasure; 3. Children had no right to be born or aborted other than upon the whims of a woman; 4. If women had an absolute right to their bodies, then society, not fathers or mothers, had the obligation to be financially responsible for the offspring that women alone could choose to bring forward. And that is where we are today; except everything has not turned out as theorized.

Part of the problem with this women's agenda is that the world is overpopulated and the human race is trying to survive by having less population, not more. There is a surplus of babies and the world does not know what to do. Children who are the product of an intact two-parent family are doing quite well in our society. They have financial resources, love and discipline from both father and mother, higher educational grades, access to medical care, and proper clothing and shelter. While much of the animal species are monogamous for life, often meaning that each sex makes itself available to raise its offspring, it has been anathema to the feminist community to accept that this might be true for humans even though human offspring have a period of at least 14 years of dependency from a biological viewpoint, and 21 using their own theory of environment as being the determining factor of when offspring are able to function well in our society.

Feminist social theorists have creatively developed the concept of alternative families, specifically the single parent family, and have tried to make it acceptable as just another alternative. However, this alternative should be called for what it is, "single mother headed family." This is a grouping of mothers with children and without fathers and without the mutual support that is normally prevalent in two parent families. A long case study exists of this situation in the inner city black welfare community. Tony Brown, a black radio show host for 20 years sees the same pattern emerging in the white community as a result of divorce and single women deciding to exercise their absolute right to their own bodies and to bear offspring as their goddess given right. But Tony Brown claims that while it took the inner city black welfare community two generations to disintegrate, it will take the white community half that time.

What disintegration? What are the results of these single mother-headed units? Many studies have now been done in various areas which indicate the results of this trend. But one has only to read the newspapers or watch TV programs on almost any area of social problems to hear the phrase "breakdown of the family" used as a cause of the problem. Just remember this: the breakdown is not some accident; it is the result of a deliberate political effort by feminists to rebuild society according to their political agenda, and now we are reaping the fruits of their efforts.

Next month, Bitter harvest
