Move away cases

Be prepared

One of the most important keys has been missed here. In order to have your spouse maintain residence in the state you are currently in you need the following (I am in IL and the laws here are based upon general standards so this should apply):

In short, one little known fact, more fathers today are winning custody battles. The figure is around 50%. The reason it isn't higher is because most fathers take divorce lying down. Step up to the plate and put up a good fight, you will always come out better.

Take my situation. I filed for sole custody along with the divorce. I had great attorneys (94% victory rate), they dragged it out for 3 years (small price to pay). What we did was piss of my ex-wife by holding everything from her (furniture, possessions, finances, etc.). We bet everything that she would blow it, If we put the right kind of pressure on her. Actually my atty. did say that all women want it their way, so if you make them wait they will mess up their case. After 3 years, we went from me paying temporary support and having limited visitation to a pure victory. I won custody of my 6 year old daughter (now there is the hardest one to pull off), the ex-wife got stuck with all the marital debt ($45,000), I got the car, and all the good possessions. I waived child support in lieu of the bills she got fucked with, but there is wording that is held over her head that if she files Bankruptcy she is dead meat on the child support, she will owe me retroactive!

Now guys, if I did all that for a mere $18,000, you can get what ever you want.

I in no way want to become a "Dear Abby" but if you have questions on this stuff I am available to answer them. If you have access to the Internet, e-mail me at the alias in the byline. (editor - otherwise send your inquiries to The Backlash! and we will forward them on to him.)
