Trump Bought Us Time
By Rod Van Mechelen

2021 Olympia, WA -- The populist backlash against our crony capitalist, corporatist, some might even say fascist, overlords has spread from Trump supporters running amok in the Capitol Building to redditors on both the left and the right coming together at wallstreetbets to rebel against the crony establishment on Wall Street.

Understanding the threat this poses to their power, online brokerages took action to temporarily halt buying of certain stocks. In the aftermath, puppet politicians in Congress are likening the January 28, 2021, retail buyers revolt against hedge funds to the January 6, 2021, storming of the castle in DC, and calling both "terrorism."

To the global elite and their pawns, it is terrorism. They're terrified of what will happen if the populace, already made restless by the pointless and absurd Covid-1984 lockdowns, finally say enough.

Although I consider myself a member of the MAGA Movement, and if Trump starts a new political party -- a "purple" party that unites populists from both the blue left and red right -- I will probably join, I'm not a Trumpist. Nor am I shedding tears over the Deep State victory in the 2020 Elections.

What I am doing is striving to be as prepared as possible for the chaos to come. And it is coming.

The Chaos to Come
Voting for Trump was never about saving the nation. Our financial system is doomed and our culture has been thoroughly corrupted. But Trump gave us time to prepare. It would have been nice to have a few more years, but the Swamp Things of the deep state denied us that.

Biden will go down in history as one of the most hated presidents in US history. Only a few weeks since he took office, and already many who voted for him feel betrayed. How long before he will be replaced by the giggling tyrant? Will her administration be the most turbulent in US history.

I grew up in the sixties and came of age in the seventies. On my way to work after class at the University of Washington, I walked through a crowd of people yelling and raging about something. Not wanting to be late for work, I ignored them. It was a long walk to my car.

After work, when I got home my mother asked if I was okay. Turns out I had hurried through what would later be identified as the last riot to take place at the UW in the seventies.

In 1999 I was working in downtown Seattle during the "Battle of Seattle" riots and demonstrations against the WTO. Some of my coworkers were hit with tear gas on their way home from work. During lunch breaks I walked around with a digital camcorder and I have video.

Will those days be tame compared to what we will experience during the next 10 years?

Civil War?
As Tim Pool has frequently noted, the American Civil War was not a civil war. It was a war of secession. Real civil wars are like what we saw in Ireland and Egypt. Will the decade of the 2020s look like that? Or worse?

Trump was never going to be our savior. He did some things right, but the Military-Industrial-(Congressional) Complex is too deeply entrenched. All he could and did do was buy us time.
